Price range: $24.24 through $29.15
Description
Small cannon badge on the front, the whole story on the back. The left chest carries the GONZALES 1835 cannon seal; the back says it plain: BORROWED IT IN 1831. STILL NOT GIVING IT BACK.
True story: in 1831 Mexican authorities lent the town of Gonzales a small cannon for defense against raids. When soldiers came to take it back in 1835, the town said no, and the Battle of Gonzales on October 2, 1835 opened the Texas Revolution.
For Texans, history buffs, and anyone who has ever kept something they borrowed. From Freedom Farms Custom: faith, freedom, and a little grit.
